Many new careers in social work require only a Bachelors Degree in order be hired. However, in order to move up the ladder or move into a different field of social work, a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) is necessary.

Social workers can also help people and their families fix serious domestic issues, typically involving some sort of child or spousal abuse. A MSW Degree can lead to a number of various positions.

ASQ Certification Prep Resources

Portfolio Review

Once a candidate has met the minimum eligibility requirements, the next step in the process is a portfolio review of the candidate’s body of SSBB or MBB work.

Note: Six Sigma Green Belt level work will not be considered.

When the review panel approves a candidate’s portfolio, the candidate will be eligible to register for and take the MBB examination. Only after successfully completing all requirements and passing the examination will candidates receive MBB certification.

Candidates must meet the minimum scoring requirements for each of the three key performance indicators.

  • Teaching, Coaching, Mentoring
  • Occupational Experience & Responsibility
  • Technical Experience/Innovation

The portfolio evaluation process will be conducted by a panel of subject matter experts who are Master Black Belts. This panel will operate independently but under the guidance of ASQ. The panel will have ultimate responsibility for judging the quality and appropriateness of the material and evidence presented in the portfolio.

Candidates who meet the required minimums for each section of the portfolio will receive an approval letter from the review panel stating that they are eligible to take the MBB examination.

Candidates who do not achieve the necessary points will receive feedback from the review panel. This feedback will include information about why the application failed.

Requirements

Here are the minimum expectations, requirements and experience specifics for the Master Black Belt Certification.

Work Experience

To become certified as an ASQ MBB, a candidate must successfully meet all requirements. To be eligible to apply for the MBB examination, a candidate must hold a current ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt certification (CSSBB) and pass the MBB portfolio review process. Within the portfolio, a candidate must have one of the following experience levels:

1) At least 5 years of experience in the role of a SSBB or MBB.

2) Completion of 10 Six Sigma Black Belt projects.

Candidates must be able to meet these minimum eligibility requirements in order to have their portfolio reviewed

Body of Knowledge

The topics in this Body of Knowledge (BOK) include descriptive details (subtext) that will be used by the Exam Development Committee as guidelines for writing test questions. This subtext is also designed to help candidates prepare for the exam by identifying specific content within each topic that may be tested.

The subtext is not intended to limit the subject matter or be all-inclusive of what might be covered in an exam, but is intended to clarify how the topics relate to a Master Black Belt role. The descriptor in parentheses at the end of each entry refers to the maximum cognitive level at which the topic will be tested. A complete description of cognitive levels is provided at the end of the document.

Please Note: The Body of Knowledge for certification is affected by new technologies, policies, and the changing dynamics of manufacturing and service industries. Changed versions of the examination based on the current Body of Knowledge are used at each offering.

Examination

The Master Black Belt certification is a five-and-a-half hour exam that consits of 110 multiple choice items and a performance-based assessment that measures comprehension of the MBB Body of Knowledge. 100 of the multiple choice questions are scored and 10 are unscored. The performance-based portion of the exam includes situation specific materials that candidates will be directed to evaluate and respond to. It is offered in English.

Examinations are conducted throughout the year and are delivered via computer based testing (CBT) through ASQ’s testing partner Prometric. Each participant must bring his or her own reference materials. Use of reference materials and calculators is explained in the FAQs.

Recertification

To maintain the integrity of your Master Black Belt certification, ASQ requires that you recertify every three years. Find out the steps you need to take for recertification.

All your employee information in one place

Human Resource Management in Microsoft Dynamics AX gives your human resources team the core administrative tools to help them manage employees, teams and departments across your organization more effectively. With your companys employee information stored in a structured, easily retrievable manner you can concentrate on managing and solving human resource issues rather than simply documenting them.

By using Human Resource Management to automate personnel recruitment, you can control the process from the moment an application is received, through correspondence and interviews with relevant managers, right up to the point of employment or rejection. Learn from the experiences of previous recruitment campaigns and pinpoint the most effective media and methods for sharper, more effective recruitment communications.

Make the most of your talent

Human Resource Management provides the structured and actionable information you need to quickly assess current performance levels, identify competency strengths and weaknesses, and outline improvement initiatives. Managing employee competence means identifying their current competencies and making relevant comparisons to the competencies your organization needs. Professional skills and aptitudes, as well as personal skills, can all be tracked and compared. You can create a competence framework, as well as a dynamic development process that includes personal interviews, training curricula, and events to support each employee in their development aligned with your companys strategy.

    Benefits

    • Easy overview through simple structuring of organizational units and job profiles
    • Analyze the efficiency and well-being of your organization by monitoring employee absences
    • Identify skill gaps to determine required employee development
    • Helps streamline course administration
    • Optimize relationships with employees through personalized self-services

    Features

    Core Human Resource Management

Use the employee database as a central repository to store personal data such as contact information for employees and their dependents, equipment loans, contract, and payroll information. This is the only place you will have to look for employee-related information and the only place you need to implement updates. Historical data is available at any time. Employee rsums comprise skills, educations, training, work experience, and certificates.

Construct your formal (line and staff units) and informal (matrix and project) organizational structures. Organization unit information is complete with affiliation history and visual, function-oriented organizational charts. The job profiles help you specify the scope of your employees positions with standard job descriptions, areas of responsibility, work tasks and accomplishments. This helps you get a comprehensive picture of the competencies that an employee must have in order to fill any of the vacant positions within your business.

The recruitment features helps you control and automates many of the simpler tasks associated with recruiting. You can set up standard communication procedures for dealing with job applicants. Categorize and track correspondence, meetings, and phone calls. Automated correspondence via Microsoft Word integration and Microsoft Outlook integration support for email correspondence and interview administration. Mass hire functionality support can be particularly useful for production companies that often take on entire production teams for a limited time period.

You can monitor employee absences, to identify trends in absenteeism, and be proactive in offering assistance to employees. Profiles for each type of absence such as vacation, illness, disability, pregnancy and parental leave can be registered and administered. The profiles can contain a wide range of variables, such as dates and manager approvals. You can easily get an overview of the number of absences and their cause for any given time period.

Maintain a skill catalog containing structured descriptions of skills relevant to your business current requirements and future needs. Registration of skill levels and experience and graphic tools for employee skill gap analysis enable you to identify areas of strength and weakness. Skill searches supporting filtering and weighting of skills enable you to match the right employee to the right task, at the right time.

Conduct structured appraisal interview with employees. Integrating Microsoft Outlook into the appraisal dialog process allows you to book meeting times directly in attendee calendars. Development planning capabilities help your employees define challenging and compelling career goals that reflect your business strategy.

Administer training courses by specifying target groups, course identification, location, instructor and participants, and the issue of course certificates. Manage events and monitor agenda, tracks and sessions. The system provides an overview of the courses an employee has completed to help you review his or her skills and competence areas.

Online Paralegal Studies Master s Degree Programs with Course Info

    Essential Information

Individuals seeking a career in the paralegal field typically do so through undergraduate education programs; however, those who already have bachelor’s degrees and are interested in paralegal studies may opt to complete a graduate program. Although online master’s degree programs for paralegals are available, post-baccalaureate or graduate certificates are much more common. Graduate certificate programs primarily focus on helping students land an initial paralegal position, while master’s degree programs are usually designed for experienced paralegals who want to advance or update their legal knowledge and skills.

Coursework in master’s degree programs provides in-depth study in certain areas of law or may allow students to focus their studies in a particular legal area. Master’s degree programs take about two years to complete.

    Typical Coursework

Students in paralegal programs gain advanced legal education and the skills needed to support attorneys and staff members within all areas of the legal system. Online curricula are usually designed to match the content of on-campus programs, and some programs require students to complete a practicum in an approved legal setting. The coursework in an online master’s program combines philosophical, historical, and theoretical approaches to law. It contains advanced courses covering written and oral communication, research analysis, ethics, and legal technology. Students may also be required to complete independent projects resulting in a substantial research paper. They undertake rigorous study of legal writing and research, litigation and corporate law, as well as the following courses:

    • Administrative law
    • Government contracts law
    • International trade
    • Intellectual property law
    • Prosecution and litigation

    Learning

Online students utilize an online-based educational platform to complete assignments and access materials; therefore, they must meet hardware, software and Internet requirements to enroll. Virtual classroom environments allow students to view lectures and interact with instructors or classmates through e-mail or discussion boards. It is not uncommon for distance learning paralegal studies programs to hold live virtual class sessions using voice or video conferencing technology. This gives students the chance to not only connect with their instructors and fellow students but also have an opportunity to build oral communication skills important for working as a paralegal.

Online master’s degree and graduate certificate programs in paralegal studies enable students who earned their bachelor’s degrees in other fields to train to become paralegals. These programs also offer current paralegals the chance to improve their communication skills and legal expertise so that they can support lawyers more effectively.

    Graduate

    Welcome to the Graduate Program

Since its inception, the graduate program has sought out excellent nurses in pursuit of advanced nursing education. Baccalaureate-prepared nurses have the option of three concentrations in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program: Case Management. Clinical Nurse Leader. Nurse Administrator. and Nurse Practitioner. A post-master’s certificate in Case Management is also available. In addition there is a post-graduate certificate program of the Nurse Practitioner program. For the registered nurse (RN) who holds an associate degree in nursing and meets the required admission criteria, we offer an RN to BSN/MSN track.

For master’s prepared nurses, we offer an EdD for Nurse Educators Program which leads to a Doctorate of Education (EdD). This program is designed to prepare practicing nurses for faculty professorship positions in higher education.

The DNP is a practice-focused degree to prepare graduates at the highest level in specialty practice or to assume leadership positions in health care. We currently have two entry points for the DNP Program, post-baccalaureate and post-master. The post-baccalaureate program admits BSN prepared nurses to the DNP program with a dual nurse practitioner specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health and Primary Care for Rural Populations. The post-baccalaureate DNP is currently only available to Alabama and Mississippi residents. The post-master’s DNP option admits advanced practice nurses (nurse practitioners, nurse anesthetists, nurse midwives, nurse executives, and clinical nurse specialists).

The goal of all our degree programs is to prepare qualified and caring nurses to face the challenges of the future in nursing. If you are interested in our graduate programs.

The Capstone College of Nursing graduate program holds unconditional accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

A student seeking an Iowa educator license is advised that successful completion of this institution’s program(s) of educator preparation does not qualify the student for initial educator licensure by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. A candidate seeking licensure in the State of Iowa must first be licensed/certified as an educator in the state in which preparation was completed. For Iowa students enrolled online, this will be Arizona. This institution shall assist a candidate in: 1) contacting the appropriate licensing board in Arizona and 2) in understanding the requirements of the appropriate licensing board prior to the candidate’s completion of this institution’s program(s) of educator preparation. A candidate seeking subsequent licensure from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners must contact that Board at 515-281-5849 or online at www.boee.iowa.gov for licensure requirements in Iowa.
